As you know Ryan took your arm strengthening class last Winter. I think it has helped him with his throwing range and he throws harder. I’ve noticed a difference since we started this year in his throws from shortstop to first base. He has a much stronger throw. I’ve also noticed it in his pitching. He seems to throw the ball faster. Not only has the arm strengthening class improved his throwing, but it has helped his confidence. Knowing he has a stronger arm and can make the throws gives him more confidence on the field.

I was first introduced to the ACE [MVP] Power Bands/Long Toss Program through a camp that my son went to put on by Rich Taylor.  We immediately noticed the benefits.   His arm strength and stamina increased measurably.   I then carried over most of the ACE Program to my Little League team for the 2008 season.  During the 2007 season,  our pitchers seemed to tire toward the end of the season.  My hope was that implementing this program would help address that problem.  Time was set aside during my practices this year to do the long toss and power bands.   It was time well-spent.  We did not have any tired arms at the end of the year.  In fact, our pitchers continued to develop arm strength throughout  the year and this culminated with the team winning its league title, district title, and going 24-3.

Our pitching is what carried us and one of the main reasons for our strong pitching was the implementation of the ACE program.   As a result, our pitchers were able to throw deeper into games and be more effective.

I recommend the program to players and coaches at any level.

Writing is not really my strong suit but I will relay my situation to you and you can use whatever you see fit.  While I could sit here and write specifically about my son, I think that would be unfair to your arm building program.  Instead, I will relate (from my perspective) what has happened to the kids that have been exposed to your program based on their participation in the program and their efforts (or lack there of) after the program.  Two years ago we ran 6-8 kids through your 6 week program.  All of them made what I would term significant improvements in arm strength (based purely on throwing distance and velocity) but that is only part of the picture.  All of the kids that went through that program (with the exception of my son at the time) we pitchers and all of them without exception went through the year trouble free (absolutely no arm issues - not even temporary soreness).  In addition to that, on my team that year I had two kids who did not go through the program and experienced arm troubles mid-season.  After each of them saw a doctor (and while they were taking two weeks off with no throwing) I gave them a set of bands and a poster of the exercises to do during rehab.  After using the bands neither player had further arm issues (they were both pitchers as well) and having kept up with the exercises both players have made the jump to Little League Juniors (60/90 field) and have had no arm issues.

The story does not end there.  After going through the program, I have incorporated the program into my normal practice routine with positive results.  So far I have not had any issues with arm trouble and I have seen significant improvement/development from my players.  All of my players (age 10-12) are capable of throwing 150' plus and this has greatly improved our team defense.  We have thrown out 2 kids at the plate from the outfield and 2 kids at third base as well.  In addition to this my son has now developed into a pitcher and is one of our "power" pitchers.  Players and coaches alike, who have been familiar with my son throughout his career have all been amazed t his improvement.  He is catching everyone off guard and is having a blast doing so.  The ACE program is a large part of that.  Unfortunately, I have a few examples of the other side of that as well.  Two of the young men from the original class never used the bands after the original class ended.  Both of them had to take at least a week off this year (we have only played 5 games of 20) with one young man taking off 14 days with no throwing at all.  Is there any other explanation?  Possibly, but I find it funny that the kids that do the exercises don't have any issues and the ones that don't are having trouble.  This is very unscientific, but it also reflects what is happening here.  Would things have been different if they had kept up with the program?  We'll never know.  All I do know is my son and any future teams I coach will all use this program.  I guess you could say I believe....

When we signed Garrett up as an 8-year-old, he was a little guy who had trouble making a throw from 3rd to first. He was not taken seriously as a potential pitcher. He has taken the class each winter, and became more serious about using the program as he matured. This last year he came to the realization the long toss and bands were working and he became more disciplined in using them. From that point he saw dramatic improvement in his pitching and throwing. Garrett told me “I can throw harder, farther and more accurate because of the classes with the bands”.

This year our team has employed the bands as the main tool for warming up at the beginning of practices. We push hard on long-toss, and have seen excellent throwing from every player on our team.

After going through a recent Tommy John surgery, one never knows what to expect in the future. After the surgery, I used the MVP Band religiously. My senior season at UC Davis was awesome and my arm has done so well that I was able to throw a complete game against Stanford in the Western Regionals. We ended up winning that game but on an even cooler note, I have been drafted by the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Thanks, Eddie Gamboa

As a former Division I college and minor league baseball player, my career ended sooner than I expected due a rotator cuff injury. Had I been introduced to a product such as the MVP Band when I was younger, things may have been different. Nonetheless, I am back playing adult league hardball and recreational tennis and my arm feels great. My only hope is that our product will prevent others from sustaining a career ending injury that could, in most cases, be avoided
